Marine Handed Out Christian Coins and was Removed!

The U.S. military says an American service member has been removed from duty in Iraq after receiving complaints that Marines were handing out coins promoting Christianity.

Sunni officials in the former insurgent stronghold of Fallujah say the coins were given to Iraqis at an entry checkpoint and had biblical verses written on them in Arabic.

A military statement says the service member was removed from his duties Friday “amid concerns from Fallujah’s citizens regarding reports of inappropriate conduct.”

The statement says U.S. troops are prohibited “from proselytizing any religion, faith or practices” and the military is investigating the reports.

The military promises appropriate action if they are substantiated.

What in the world is happening here? We are in Iraq, giving them freedom from the horrible government that has terrified them for decades. We are Christians that have been commanded by God to spread His word throughout all of the land, to all of His people.

How can the US Government, who was established on Christianity and the principals of God, remove this man from active duty and seek out a punishment for him?

This is even more evidence that we are living in the end times, merely waiting on the sound of the Lord’s trumpet and the shout of his voice.

Christians all over the country and all over the world need to pray for the troops, especially this young man that has done nothing but follow the commandments of our Lord.

Where can I get some of those coins? I have a loved one in Iraq and would like him to carry a few.
